What furniture starts out as...
So yeh, of course my furniture starts out as trees. But when a client requests I make a certain piece of furniture I go straight to my local hardwood lumber supplier and THIS is what I pick from. This picture would just be one rack with a selection of the basics plus some exotics too. There are MANY more stacks of lumber to look through and I carefully select lumber for each and every project. Sometimes I have my lumber supplier special order something and it usually comes in fairly quick. Something like 8/4 curly maple or 6/4 quarter sawn white oak or 5/4 zebrawood might not be something the have laying around, ut they will get it for me!

Heirloom knife restoration!
Yeh, we do that too. Not on a regular basis, but sometimes a client shows up with a special knife that was their grandfather's or some other relative and the handle is all broken. So we fix it all up good as new!

Here's a picture of a piece of wooden ammo I did for a good friend of mine from Lothar Walther barrels. He took this picture at SHOT Show a couple yrs ago. I still do the wooden ammo if anyone needs a custom piece. Lamps and furniture incorporating it too.

Triune Cutting Boards
OK folks, this is my new signature cutting board design! Nothing earthshaking or anything, but three inlayed pieces of various wood in one corner in a line. These ones are walnut but sometimes I will use laminate maple as well and other contrasting woods. I just wanted to do something to set my cutting boards apart a little and give them some character! Enjoy!

Wild Woodenware Finish and Spatulas
Wild Woodenware Finish is a mineral oil & beeswax based blend designed to keep wooden bowls, spatulas, and cutting boards in good condition. The beeswax used comes from Maine bees and the lavender scented version uses organic lavender essential oil. The lavender version can be used to finish drawers to scent clothing as well. Spatulas are available for kitchen use in long or regular handle lengths. Rice spoons are available with regular short handle or long handle for stirring stews. Contact Wild Cherry Woodworks for pricing on all products. Most are in stock ready for shipment.Wednesday, December 13, 2006
Custom fitted firearm carry case

Custom carry case for a Wild West Guns .457Magnum Master Guide rifle. Fitted sections for optic, two pieces of rifle, and a box of ammo. Case constructed of Peruvian walnut with a cocobolo inlay. All hardware is solid brass hand mortised. Spline miters strengthen the case and add an interesting detail. .500 caliber bullets act as "feet" when case is standing. Inside of top is leather from this client's grandfather's tack shop. I try and incorporate as many unique details into my firearm cases and displays as possible, as these are very personal items to the owners.
